Wetland Indicators Type: Peat Average depth to water table: 11.3 cm; n=32 Organic layer thickness: 146.6 cm; n=36 Average depth to redoximorphic features: n/a Common Soils: STARICHKOF, DOROSHIN Common Plant communities: Tufted bulrush - Tall cottongrass Sweetgale – Dwarf birch / Water horsetail Tufted bulrush – Fewflower sedge

| Accuracy assessment: 19 polygons interpreted as LB2 on aerial photographs were field checked. 7 remained LB2; 3 each were revised to LB23 and LB24; 2 were revised to LB32; 1 each was revised to DW2, DW3, LB2-4, and LB3. | |
The widespread LB2 map component occurs with a water table at or near the surface, and is typically dominated by sedges. It occupies the zone between the open water component (LB1) and the sphagnum dominated (LB3) or shrubby component with a deeper water table (LB4). It is most common on its own or in a complex with the sphagnum-dominated LB3 component. Flarks, in a strang - flark complex, are LB2 components.
